I’ve added some Original Music Tracks to the website well…because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Time will tell if that idea holds up.

"You Too Tall, Too" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
Welcome to the world of The Swingin’ Capybaras. It’s an unusual place with an unusual point of view. The Gift Shop? It’s great. The Food Court? Not so much. But Parking is free… so there’s that.
"Wait. Goats Can't Swim?" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
A little background might be in order. For years now, creating original music has been a source of great enjoyment and a thorn in my side. Sometimes…
all at the same time.
Is the music any good? That’s for ears greater than mine to decide. As in all things, it’s a matter of taste.
"Cinco De CInco" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
These tracks are by The Swingin’ Capybaras. The Capybaras are a snappy little combo that primarily consists of yours truly. It’s a party of one.
"Dribbles Comes To Town" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
In fact, since the start, the band has always consisted of yours truly. I’ve been in bands before - and loved it . But at the end of the day, this lineup moves things along a little faster. There’s also a lot less grumbling.
Sure, it’s a bit solitary but it does come with some upsides. There’s not as many “creative differences”, you don’t have to keep firing bass players and you never, ever have to wait around for everyone to show up on time for rehearsal.
"Got Plans for That Cactus?" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
It’s like a Win-Win for everyone on every count.
In any event, what we have here is a bunch of Swingin’ Capybaras instrumentals that give you a sense of what
the band is about. And just what IS it about?
It’s about ideas, creativity, freedom, integrity and any other high falutin’ adjective you care to throw in there. The only one we didn’t add in was: ‘making money’.
"Slinkiest Taxi In The City" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
You’re here. We’re here. Give us a shot. The tracks are pretty unique, pretty much ‘out there’ and pretty hard to classify. More importantly, they’re pretty short.
We like to get to the point and then get out before the trouble starts. Depending on your musical tastes and tolerances, you might just thank us for our brevity.
"Valor Not Forgotten" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
As you listen, just keep telling that to yourself it’s not the destination that counts…it’s the journey. Not sure what it means but it’ll give you something to think about as you navigate this musical adventure.
"Hazz Jands" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
Now sit back. Relax. Clear your head. And enjoy the fact that this is provided at no extra cost - so you have nothing to lose. And just maybe… something to gain.
"The Rains of Weehawken" from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
And just remember, no matter what you think of the music, you can rest easy knowing that no singers were harmed in the making of these tracks. Not every band can say that.
"Now Available At..." from Marty Byk on Vimeo.
It’s time to click ‘play'….if you dare.
